Dogs and Heat
It is hot in the Algarve! A few tips for dogs and heat!
- Make sure there is always plenty of water to drink
- Do not put the water bowl in the sun
- Do not walk your dog in the heat, better early in the morning, or in the evening.
- IF the tarmac is too hot to touch, for sure it is too hot for your dog
- IF you see a dog in the car in the sun, smash the window! This is really dangerous!
- Do not compensate less walking with playing ball games, better play ‘brain’ games. (google)
Just save the energy for the dog to cool down. And better to give them less food.
